For all that there’s been a backlash against the superhusbands/superfamily stuff recently, I still love it.
I love all the multiverses.
I love movieverse fic because I love seeing how people explore how Steve and Tony start to get to the places of comic verses. I love Marvel Adventures fic because kittens and puppies and rainbows. I kind of even like the sharpness of Ult-verse/1610 sometimes.
But I love them all because my Steve/Tony affections will, no matter what, always return to 616-verse. Civil War was how I started shipping them, and the Confession pretty much broke me. This is the universe I love, with all the weight of so many years of friendship and all the baggage of Steve’s death and the fighting and all the ALL this brings to their history.
So yeah. That’s how I love them, but sometimes I superhusband it up because I like to see them happy, and I don’t give a fuck~
